Poem – Gifts

She wanted to experience
love so bad, she journeyed
far to find it
left no leaf unturned
and she sought it in
every sunny corner of the world
forgetting that the darkest
shadow of all was her own
she sought from other people
a gift she could have given herself.

Back at it again, folks! My apologies – It isn’t that I haven’t been writing poems, it’s just that I forgot to post them on here. I post more frequently on Instagram, and I delay the posts here so that I have a poem-a-day 🙂 Anyway, I’m updating my blog now, so I’m back to daily poems.
